De majestueuze baard van de kerstman staat symbool voor wijsheid en warmte. Deze betoverende witte baard bezit magische krachten die elk jaar zorgen voor een heerlijke kerst, gevuld met gezelligheid en blije gezichten.
Het is daarom van groot belang dat de baard goed wordt onderhouden en spierwit blijft. Hij mag nooit, maar dan ook nooit worden uitgedund of geknipt. Kammen is toegestaan, maar dan wel in één richting, op een zachte en regelmatige wijze.
Om de baard in optimale conditie te houden, wordt hij gewassen met de zuiverste sneeuw van de Noordpool of met de sneeuw uit Rovaniemi. Zo blijft de baard zacht, zuiver en stralend wit.
Toch maakt de kerstman zich grote zorgen, want de sneeuw waaruit zijn magie voortkomt, wordt door veranderingen in de wereld steeds minder schoon en schaarser. Terwijl hij speelgoed klaarmaakt en zijn reis plant, mijmert hij over de toekomst en deelt hij zijn gedachten met zijn elfjes: “Een liefdevolle kerst betekent ook liefde tonen voor onze planeet.”
De elfjes knikken instemmend: “Laten we samen zorgen voor de planeet, om de magie van Kerstmis te bewaren.”

The majestic beard of Santa Claus is a symbol of wisdom and warmth. This enchanting white beard holds magical powers that, every year, bring about a wonderful Christmas filled with togetherness and smiling faces.
That’s why it is of great importance that the beard is well cared for and remains pure white. It must never, ever be thinned out or trimmed. Combing is allowed, but only in one direction, gently and with steady strokes.
To keep the beard in optimal condition, it is washed with the purest snow from the North Pole or with snow from Rovaniemi. This keeps the beard soft, pure, and brilliantly white.
Yet Santa Claus is deeply worried, because the snow from which his magic springs is becoming less clean and more scarce as the world changes. While he prepares toys and plans his journey, he reflects on the future and shares his thoughts with his elves: “A loving Christmas also means showing love for our planet.”
The elves nod in agreement: “Let’s take care of the planet together, so we can preserve the magic of Christmas.”
